An employee had this to say, "My recruiter did not answer emails, did not begin to look for my next assignment before present assignment ended, three different weeks I did not have a deposit for my pay and I had to run hoops to get paid. For one week, I was not paid for a month and was calling every 3-4 days to try to wrap up the error. for time sheets, I was given 3 different sets of rules to follow to get paid requiring the supervisor at my assignment to sign twice for the same hours (something I'm sure she had plenty of free time to do.) On week 10, I was sent a new form and told to have the supervisor sign for those weeks all over again, and threatened that I would not be paid until that was done. Will not work for them again."
Recruiter (Former Employee) says"Worst toxic place and toxic people. Keep away if you are looking for a real career Manager is a sociopath and his supporting cronies are horrible human beings if you can call them that. These people have no couth."
Internal employee (Former Employee) says"Management believes what they want to believe, management has their favorites and it is well known and seen. The company would be a great company to work for if everyone was working towards building the company instead of worrying about he said she said things. I would not recommend this company to an internal or external employee. Cons: Poor management, owners have no clue how their business is truly being ran."
Travel Surgical Technologist (Former Employee) says"Recruiter is all about themselves no support to the people that actually do the work. When I 1st started they actually cared but things has really changed Cons: Recruiter suck they are just out for their money"
Legal Biller (Former Employee) says"Avoid at all costs. Nothing else to say, I worked for the temp staffing group. They kept none of the promises they made to me and let me go without telling anyone."
LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) says"They do not stand by their nurses!! Never had a worse experience!! The facility cancelled my contract the same day i started because i complained about a staff nurses' unwillingness to train me in sufficiently. The facility sided with staff nurse of course and made false allegations about me so they could cancel contract! Trustaff did nothing in my defense and stopped working with me! Never felt so humiliated and screwed over in my entire 20+ year nursing career!! Cons: Everthing"
Technology Specialist (Former Employee) says"This company has no regard for their travel contractors, the housing is non-existent, they give you expensive apartments, BUT, only after you have had a 13 week assignment. UNBELIEVEABLE. So hotel stay is the only choice you have. The requiters are insensitive to the needs of the travelers , as long as you are working on their behalf thast all that matters. I have worked for other companies before initial housing ,rental care , air fare..... all were taken care of, but these people want you to do all of their work for them. My advice, seriously pass them on, it not worth the check. Cons: housing comes out of your check"
Travel Tech (Former Employee) says"I wanted to work as a traveler and decided to use this company I got my first assigment and I was excited and told all my friends I was off to California. they DO NOT pay for housing and transportation and their so call stipend was considered a loan and they took that back out if my check and also $500 a week for housing. I got to job all happy and excited and was there really early and thats when the complaints of do talk to this person and kiss this persons *** convo started. so I kepted on my game face. People asked was I new to Cali and where I stayed then all of a sudden I was talk of the Hospital, the one tech I worked with made my life a living heck she began harassing and complaining about me because she felt that I was there to take away her job, well she didn't stop there she started reading my interdepartmental mail, slandering my name and was looking for things to complain about until I lost the contract! Trustaff called me and said I must leave the hospital premises that day and that my housing had been canelled and was to only stay at the hotel that night and was up to me to pay for the rest of the week. Luckly I saved all my money and paid for my flight back to NY or else I would have been homeless in the Bay Area, I beg anyone who read this leave this company alone they are crooks after taken $540 out of my check for housing and won't reimburse my money back and only paid for one night. Oh did I mention I only worked for 3 weeks smh! I have never been treated this way from any employer I worked with. Save your license and/or certificate, you would be doing Cons: worst company I've ever worked for"
Travel RN (Former Employee) says"They are ALL about the hospital and not on your side as a nurse. They didn't make the hospital honor the contract. They never paid me for the Charge pay I was owed."
RN,ICU (Former Employee) says"I was at Rideout 4 weeks and they were proud to announce 10 nurses were terminated, one before the contract began,my recruiter said he could get new replacements and management said they will keep you if they like you,not about your work, crazy Cons: does not pay what the contract states"
rn (Former Employee) says"the recruiter is ok ...the company is dishonest , slow to pay re embursements, ....... dont explain that they charge you for the cost of sending deposit....2 days before the start ,,they were on the phone at night giving me the run around......the right hand doesnt seem to know what the left hand is doing...........a really really bad company... Cons: everything"
RN (Former Employee) says"They get you to an assignment by any means they can and then don't answer calls/concerns. Had black mold in St Thomas, my recruiter and th VP incharge of account would do nothing and then stole 2 weeks paychecks when I found my own housing. Cons: everthing about them."
Travel RN (Former Employee) says"Sent me on a contract, and there was NO contract! They will tell you just what you want to hear. So I was left scrambling for another job with another company. Do yourself a favor and go with a more reputable company! Cons: everything"
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) says"Poor management. I need to call every week to straighten my payroll. There are occasions that I didn’t get paid. Pay is poor, below average. You call your recruiter if problem arise but he doesn’t call you back. You tell your recruiter about problems at work and he just laughed about it"
Contract RN (Former Employee) says"Lower pay, stipends won’t cover cost of living nor travel, try another agency. There’s much better out there Most agencies take a lot better care of you: have somebody available to speak with you enroute and on assignment Cons: Yes"
Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant (Former Employee) says"hired for one job but ended up doing another, position was eliminated but they still had other positions listed on careerbuilder, did not move me to another position within the company, lack of training Cons: management, health insurance cost, training"
Registered nurse (Former Employee) says"I am nurse with 12 years of experience. Trustaff objectively is the worst travel company I have ever traveled and contracted under. The do not provide housing while on assignment. After working with them for a year my w2 form came to 30,000. The first assignment I worked the company actually accused me of overdosing a patient with an entire bag of sedative. The patient was a drug user and came in after overdosing and was comatose. They never asked for recommendations. They also harassed my family member and hacked into my facebook and email accounts. In twelve years of being a nurse I have never seen a worse company. Cons: everything: housing, pay, facilities and use of lawyers to keep track of your activities."
Mgr in finance dept (Former Employee) says"I was hired as a mgr, and ended up doing cash app because the finance dept and finance mgr were totally clueless and fell so far behind. No mgmt at all. vERY unfriendly finance dept. very " clickish", very unorganized. No training at all. Finance dept is a joke."
Scheduling Coordinator (Former Employee) says"I have been in the workforce for 30+ years with many years in the industry as well as in executive management. The dept I was hired on for is a farce. The Director has a lot of expertise in the staffing area but no true people management skills. The job description compared to the actual job role was completely a farce as well. I do a lot of research and ask a lot of questions when interviewing for a position. I asked about attrition and was lied to. As soon as I started working the employees (in which the highest tenure was a little over a year) commented on the high attrition. 2 of us were hired at the same time and we both resigned at the same time. I have never worked in such a horribly run dept Cons: All"
Team Lead (VMS) says"Interviewed for a team lead position - job requirements and duties given at interview did not match duties/responsibilities once hired. Did not even get the chance to interview with payroll manager. Very unfriendly workplace. Training is nil but they expect you to somehow learn your job. Alot of very unhappy employees there who are looking for other employment. Cons: No decent training, unfriendly environment"
Registered Nurse/Travel (Former Employee) says"My recruiter did not answer emails, did not begin to look for my next assignment before present assignment ended, three different weeks I did not have a deposit for my pay and I had to run hoops to get paid.
Former Employee - NBD/AM/Recruiter says"I worked at trustaff full-time for more than a year Cons: Hostile environment, management doesn’t trust the employees, micro management style. Overhead cameras that zoom in close to your desk, even where they can read a text message on your phone. Account Managers and Recruiters don’t work well together and management does nothing about, it’s almost encouraged by the Recruiting managers. The recruiters are aggressive towards account managers when it should be encouraged to be more of a team player environment. If you meet goals, it’s still not enough."
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I worked at trustaff full-time for more than a year Cons: Poor working conditions, nurses are not treated equally. Not reimbursed for expenses that were promised."
Former Employee - Travel Nurse says"I worked at trustaff full-time for more than a year Cons: Dishonest. Inaccurate. Unscrupulous. Incredibly shady. Will never discuss things with you in email. They want no record of conversations. I was always told. Call me now."
Former Employee - Accounting says"I worked at trustaff full-time for less than a year Cons: very dog eat dog, cutthroat atmosphere. Very unorganized. Very little personal accountability."
Former Employee - Payroll says"I worked at trustaff full-time for less than a year Cons: Processing 1600+ timesheets between 2 people = unbalanced workloads, which cause the person doing 50% of the work extreme stress and the certain coordinators and managers did not show much concern. If there were policies set in place, everything is online so they can be easily overread and be glanced over. Also I was called "Unprofessional" considering the work environment and unwilling to change to fit changes that were coming to make the process smoother for the future."
Former Employee - Anonymous says"I worked at trustaff full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Leadership team is unethical, inter-office relationships cloud judgement, sexual harassment goes on without repercussions from HR, bullying and intimidation tactics are used by management to control employees. Pay is terrible, benefits are possibly the worst benefits you can receive (I think homeless people have better benefits) they treat employees as if they are worthless, they re-use travelers that have failed tests and had reports of misconduct. Corporate culture is centered on a team of the most unethical, misogynist men I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Hard workers are overlooked and treated like dirt while mid-level managers play in between micro managing their staff."
says"I worked at trustaff Cons: If you've seen the movie "The Stepford Wives" you'll understand. No company culture to speak of, sterile and less than a compelling environment."
says"I worked at trustaff Cons: There isn't enough time in the day to list the cons of this company. When there is an opportunity to screw their employee over, they will jump at any chance they can get."
Former Employee - Nursing Recruiter says"I worked at trustaff full-time for more than a year Cons: "Training" is a joke - sloppy, uninformative, spends entirely too much time on the wrong areas. You'll feel persecuted to ask a question, even if others want the same clarification. It's obvious to see why there's so much turnover. No one feels adequately prepared to do their job. Negative people with bad attitudes and conniving ways are prized, even if they're not pulling in more money. Plenty of back stabbing going on. Management doesn't care as long as calls are adequate. Quantity is king. No emphasis on or appreciation for quality. The "turn and burn" mindset runs rampant internally and externally. Loads of excuses from management. To succeed here: be cutthroat, don't invest additional effort, follow the status quo."
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I worked at trustaff full-time for more than a year Cons: Communication is very poor. Too many managers and not a single leader. Nepotism. Too much gossip and negativity in the office. No management training. Little to no opportunities to advance. Very strict environment with no talking or socializing to get to know coworkers. No accountability. Poor training for the job."
